DAP Health Equity Walk
The DAP Health Equity Walk 2024 takes place on Saturday, October 26 from 7:30 am–1 pm at Ruth Hardy Park.
Blanche DuBois’ famous line in Tennessee Williams play, “A Streetcar Named Desire,” resonates as I get ready to depart Japan for Palm Springs.
“I have always depended on the kindness of strangers,” is her line that’s oft heard uttered by those who know the play and the movie well.
Its prices reflect this added level of comfort, which includes two swimming pools, personalized extras for anniversaries or birthdays, and a remarkable 1 to 1 guest to staff ratio.
This is not typically thought of as a party resort – the Hacienda at Warm Sands operates with the slogan “Luxe, Exclusive, Quiet, Secluded, Professional.” The Hacienda consists of only 10 suites, and like Santiago, it provides catered lunches.
This popular event offers a variety of activities, including architectural tours, lectures, art exhibitions, shopping, and special events, many of them free or low-cost. It’s a great place for tourists to catch a performance and soak in some history while they’re in town, while enjoying a fine dining menu featuring locally-sourced ingredients.

Join Equality California for the 25th Annual Palm Springs Equality Awards on Saturday, October 26 from 3–6 pm at the Riviera (formerly Margaritaville) Resort. I’ve never seen a bigger selection in terms of colors and sizes and styles when it comes to underwear!
