We look forward to helping you enjoy our historic town, including viewing the largest open pit copper mine in the world and so much more. This gay, country-themed bar on Camelback Road just west of Seventh Avenue has been slinging cocktails and blasting country hits since 1984, when it was lovingly referred to as the “lil bitty ol’ pissant country place.” These days, there’s nothing little about Charlie’s—it boasts a large dance floor, a back patio complete with two bars and bleacher seating, plenty of parking, and a taco truck parked out front.
Festivities continue on June 14 at 10 a.m., when the Pride Parade begins at the Historic Cochise County Courthouse. on June 7, the Downtown Tempe Pride Party boasts three DJs, each spinning their own unique blend of melody and rhythm. Throw on a pair of headphones and switch among the audio channels to create your perfect playlist for the evening.
